After four nights and two Saturday mornings, nine community members completed training and are ready to be assigned as Court Appointed Special Advocates to the abused and neglected children of Park and Sweet Grass Counties. The volunteers have various background experience but all share an interest in and concern for the children of our community. Many local professionals came to speak to the group including Barb Braughton of the Department of Health and Human Services; Detective Barnes from the Drug Task Force; lawyers Jim Lippert, Kelly Voyich and Vuko Voyich; Court Administrator, Nancy MacCracken; and Brenda Quillen of Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch. Thank you to everyone for the work you do on behalf of the children of Park and Sweet Grass counties and for making the training a success.

Bugle For Kids winner Victor Robbins from Livingston and his son Clint hunted on the West Boulder Ranch over the Halloween weekend with ranch manager Doug Campbell. Temperatures were warm while the group hiked the hills of the West Boulder drainage in search of elk. On Saturday they spotted some elk, but sixteen year-old Clint discovered that the scope of his gun was off and caused great frustration. Sunday the three men scouted elk that were in good proximity for a shot and luckily both father and son were successful. Having gotten a good workout and enjoyed Doug Campbell’s knowledge of the area, the Robbins were also glad to have elk in the freezer. Good job everyone!

Bugle For Kids raffle winner Brian Engle of Big Timber and his 13 year-old son Tanner had great success with Lonn Clark on the Twelve Springs Ranch over the Halloween weekend. This is the second raffle win for Brian who took his daughter hunting on the West Boulder Ranch in 2006. Thanks for continuing to support the CASA Program through the Bugle For Kids raffle!
