Thanks to everyone who donated items, attended the evening, made purchases and cash donations to our CASA: A Treasure to Cherish event on June 18th.  We appreciate your support and participation which helped to make our fundraiser a huge success. The benefit hosted close to 160 people and the evening was filled with fun and dancing. Special thanks to Gail McCormick, Katie Killfoil and Ann Schilling for their planning and decoration ideas. The place looked wonderful and the event ran very smoothly. Thanks for making a positive difference to our children and our community.

CASA Award Presented to Local Program Director at State Conference

Justice Rice honored Program Director Ann Schilling of the 6th Judicial CASA/GAL as the CASA Director of the Year. Ann has been the driving force since the local program began in Park County 2002.  Judge Nels Swandal wrote that she has created “a well organized and successful non-profit organization that operates smoothly and effectively in child abuse and neglect cases.  CASA’s positive image and well recognized work is largely due to her dedication and ability to raise the bar in all areas of this field.”
Ann supervises 31 volunteers serving 21 children in Park and Sweetgrass County.  Ann is always available to help the volunteers in writing a report or guiding an investigation. Ann has also served more than five years on the state board of CASA of Montana, most recently as chair of the nominations committee. In addition, each year she arranges dinner for a group of 40 to 50 bike riders in the Park-2-Park Montana event, and even a small bus to take them from their hotel to a local church for the meal.

For more information and more details on CASA of Montana go to www.casagal.org, call 406 443 2448 or

1404 E. Park St. Livingston MT
    (406) 222 - 2231

CASA is working with the management and staff at Caffé D’arte and would like you to join us in helping a family in need this Holiday Season.  We want to help a family from Park County have a brighter holiday by donating 5% of our sales and 100% of our tips every Monday, beginning November 2, 2009 through December 21, 2009, to provide gift cards for food, clothing and gasoline, as well as other items needed by the family.

Members of the community can help by nominating families they know, who are in need and can use some help this season.  The nomination should include a brief description of the family and their circumstances, which can be provided on the nomination form below, as well as, ages and sizes of family members, and their top three financial needs such as (but not limited to), food, clothing, medical, utilities, haircuts, toiletries, cleaning supplies, school supplies, toys and books.  For each nomination, the nominator’s name will be entered in a raffle, the winner of which will receive a Caffé D’arte gift card in the amount of $30.00.  Please submit your name, address, and telephone number on the attached form.

We welcome donations from our friends in the community, as well.  Every donation can help us make the holidays a little brighter for a family in need. We have all felt the pinch of this economy, but some have been hit hard, and we can all make a difference by giving what we can.

We at Caffé D’arte are excited about helping a family in need this year and hope you will be too!  Thank you for caring and sharing!! Call with questions or to obtain nomination forms.
