The National CASA Association Announces
Seattle, WA (November 29, 2011) – The National CASA Association today announced the election of Livingston, Montana resident Don Gimbel to its Board of Trustees. “As we embark on an ambitious new project to expand volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected children, we are excited to welcome Don to the national board,” said Chief Executive Officer Michael Piraino. “Don’s business skills and his experience serving on the local CASA board, Sixth Judicial District CASA/GAL of Park and Sweet Grass Counties, will be invaluable to our campaign.”
Don Gimbel is a senior managing director at Carret Asset Management. He is responsible for all non-US investments. Clients are both high net worth families and charitable organizations. The firm also manages assets for public companies and Unions.
About CASA: Since 1977, court appointed special advocates have provided volunteer advocacy for over 2 million abused and neglected children. The National CASA Association is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Seattle that works to strengthen local CASA programs through technical assistance, consultation and training, quality assurance, volunteer recruitment, and funding for state and local offices throughout the country. Two very LUCKY individuals, Michelle Donaldson and Paula Curtin were selected on October 27th in a random drawing, winning an Adult/Youth guided elk hunt in the 6th Annual Bugle for Kids drawing. Michelle Donaldson accompanied youth Hailey Peterson and Doug Campbell accompanied Wyatt Hammersmark on November 4th – 6th for their big hunt.
